The whispering wing sweeps over the craggy cliff top the sounds of the ocean fill the air mixing with the sounds of night. With a sudden puff of smoke and a popping crackle of fire a tall shrouded figure appears surrounded by a circle of power written in flames. The wind catches hold of his clock and tries to rip it from him. The tall figure lets out a long sigh that could either be of exasperation or delight. The wind threatens to spread the fire.
"Now we cant have that." His voice is deep and resonating. He lifts his right hand and opens it, palm down, out in front of himself. The fire jumps from the ground and wraps itself around his hand then sinks into his skin leaving the scorch marks of his arrival. "There that's better now we must get to work. Come to me Night Feather and find me a place full of tempt-able souls." From his shadow a large Dire Hawk takes flight and sours out over the beach and then toward town.

Teagan had spent the last 10-15 minutes starring at this new arrival, upon hearing unknown noises she darted behind a bush and watched as this... thing... emerged from... where-ever. Teagans brow creased as she watched it control the flames surrounding it, her bright blue eyes trying to comprehend what she was seeing, could this be another like her? or something more? she wasn't afraid, yet she couldn't bring herself to step from her hiding place.
Taking three big deep breaths, she slowly emerged, silent as usual, moving with a dancers grace, she paused a short distance behind the creature and tilted her head, the purple streak in her hair catching the dim light.
"hello" she said softly, fingers flexing ready to either protect herself or run a mile, "what are you doing up here? all alone? with fire? and scorch marks?" the 16 year old tilted her head, watching him, bright blue eyes blazing with power unknown to her yet.

He lowers himself slightly but quickly and like a shot whips around to see who it was that had come upon him without making a sound. the shock he experienced to discover that it was a child, one with such unique eyes, was almost enough to make him lose his balance. his hand slowly releases the grip of his sword which he had grabbed out of reflex, as his mind slowly came back to common ground and decipher the unusual predicament he was now in. "greetings child, are you out to enjoy the splendors of this glorious evening? come to think of it what are you doing out this late?"
he shoots his shadow an evil look where he knows his hound and dragon both dwell and should be keeping watch. he would have to punish them later for this laps. still something about this girl seemed ... familiar ... but that was impossible. she was a human, wasn't she?

Teagan raised an eyebrow and smirked at his odd way of speaking "my aunt doesn't get home till late, and i hate being in the house alone" she shrugged a little "i usually come here to practise" she extended her hand to him "names Teagan Levine" she smiles sweetly, her bright blue eyes blazing gently.
"You look familiar" she said staring into his eyes "have we met before" a frown creased her young brow as she tilted her head studying him curiously, sh epushed her hair over her shoulder, her blue eyes then fixed on the sword "wow thats a big sword, whats it for?" she smiled curiously.

"You ask a lot of questions child. and pry into matters that are non of your concern." his tone darkens and he narrows his eyes at her. he tries to think of an answer to get the girl to leave him be so he can find a place for the camp. obviously here was far closer then he had originally thought. he opens his mouth to speak but before he can the plate charm hanging from his swords hilt chimes like a small bell. the sound can only be heard by demons and their pets but its meaning has far more desperate implications. it is a sigh that the first group of his men are ready to come to land of mortals. he must find a place for camp and escape this prying child.

"so what was that noise?" she asks having heard a chiming sound, she frowns, knowing by his words and actions he's trying to get rid of her, she huffs and her hands start to grow hot, she digs her nails into her palms, not yet fully in control of her powers, her eyes flash dangerously as she tries to cool her temper, and she huffs again, narrowing her eyes as she watches him "your trying to get rid of me arent you?"

the implications of what this child just said are staggering. if she can hear the chimes of the damned then she should be a demon but if she was a demon then why was HE sent to this village to harvest souls. was she a renegade? could she be a half blood. he hears the second thing she says but the words do not register. his hand shoots out and takes her by the front of her blouse and picks her up with ease. "what are you. why are you here?"

Teagan lets out a squeal, grabbing his hands, fear making her powers flare, her hands heat to a scorching temperature, enough to incinerate humans, "put me down" she squeaks, gripping his hands, her eyes grow blinding blue and flash dangerously, she takes a deep breath trying to calm herself "exustio, half demon" she squeals smacking at his hands as hers burned against his flesh.

"That doesn't explain what your doing here." he had dreaded that answer, and another exustio. this could be very bad. he hands, which seemed to be on the point of combustion, does not fase him in the least. before he can decide what to do with her his Dire Hawk returns flying quickly and dives into his shadow. her seeing this clenches it for him. he will have to take her with him. he draws his other hand back and prepares to drive his fist into her stomach to knock her out.

"as i said i come up here to practise!" she yelped, pointing at a burnt area of ground, a tree stump there, she writhed in his grip, eyes noticing his fists when suddenly, a gust of air shot around them, she squeezed her eyes shut.
"i think you should put her down" came another female voice, followed by a male chuckle, Forrest stood there, sharp teeth bared, her eyes as black as night, narrowing at the creature holding her friend "i said release her!" she snapped, her hands flung out knocking the thing down, Leaf ran forward and grabbed Teagan, pushing her behind himself and his twin.
"i think you should of listened" he said casually, almost boredly, his own dark eyes fixed on the male before them "now, what was you doing with little Teagan? bothering her whilst she practises i suppose?" he picked at his nails as Teagan looks out at the person she had been talking to.

the new arrivals, while obviously strong and with great skill, show no signs of elegance to either side so he takes little notice of them. suddenly he rises to his feet with out giving any visible sign of effort. he keeps his eyes locked on the blazing blue of the child know as Teagan. he tries to decide how to proceed from here. finally about ten minuets of silence, where he still does not acknowledged the two new comers, he hold his right hand out and pulls a hawk quill from his shadow. he jots down a short not on a piece of paper he conjurer from the trees near them. he then rolls the quill up in the paper. he slowly crouches down still keeping his eyes on the blue. he places the paper just outside the scorched circle. he then stands and smiles win a warm but evil way that would make most people feel uneasy. "Well Well hasn't this been interesting." he bow using the circle to transport himself away in a sudden columns of flame.

Forrest visably relaxed, a giggle ringing from her throat, she holds her hand out to Teagan who takes it then looks to her brother "fun fun fun" she giggles again, manically, her brother rolls his eyes and looks at Teagan "come on Teag, lets get you back home" he takes her other hand but teagan pulls away from them both, moving to the note in the scorched circle she picks it up and starts to read it

[you have power child but you will never fully realize it nor will you ever fully be able to control it with out someone to teach you. the feather quill if from my pet there is a spell on it so that who ever holds it may talk to me through my pet. the power you have the amount of control over is your eyes child.

Teagan raised an eyebrow at the note "weird person" she mumbled as she rolled it up, Forrest came over, frowning "you ok kiddo?" she asked, Leaf tried to take th note but Teagan put it in her pocket "yeah fine fine, just, weird person is all" she gave them both a grin "lets go home" she said and that was that, they walked off, dropping teagan off at her house before heading back to their home, the crazy place, known as the asylum
