Lucian raised his hands out in front of him in a sign of surrender and stood up. "It's fine. If you don't want my help I suppose that I should just move on. Let you bed. Sorry to have bothered you, Brooklyn." He said. It was a tactical approach that he often used an usually it worked for him. Once the option was apparently off the table the other person suddenly couldn't stand the thought of losing that chance that moment ago they didn't believe they had.

Brooklyn narrowed her eyes at him as he stood up and started to leave. "I'm sorry, but you can't just come up onto a hilltop, start talking to me, ask me for my life story, offer to help and then get up to leave at the first sign of someone denying any help you could possibly give them. Even though, I'm still not sure how you could possibly think such a thing." She scanned him up and down, trying to figure out what he was. Part of her wanted to let her abilities open up again but she stopped them just short. The stronger part of her did not want to know what was running through this mans head. "Are you sick or something?"

Lucian shook his head. "I'm not sick. But I am sorry for wasting you time. I just merely sensed your unhappiness an wanted to help to ease it. But if you don't want my help, I am sure that you will find some other way to be happy, without your husband." He said looking at her in a way that expressed pure empathy for her. It was all false surely but it looked perfectly real.

Brooklyn grumbled at the look he was giving her. It was almost like a sad puppy dog trying to win someones affection. "It's not that I don't want help. It's that there's no way of getting him down here to me. He has to royally screw up a whole lot of times... and I don't think he will." Her voice was softer now, but agitation still laid quietly in her tone. "You're not wasting my time, but I'm having one hell of a time trying to figure out what you are."

"He doesn't need to screw up for me to bring him back to you." Lucian told her. "I could have him back to you within the next five minutes." He explained to her.

Brooke just shook her head. "Lucian, honestly. Until you tell me how you can do that, I can't take you seriously." Her voice had lost all tone of agitation now. She just wanted straight answers before she committed to anything.

Lucian let his eyes flicker until they were a bright red that consumed his whole eyes whites and all. "Crossroads, love." He said closing his eyes and when he opened then back up they were normal again.

Brooklyn bit her lip as she saw the red come into his eyes. She understood now. "And... a Fallen Angel would get in with a Demon for what reason?" She wasn't sure she trusted him anymore. Especially once she realized what exactly he was and which type.

"I'm only trying to help you." Lucian said. "You want your husband back and I want another deal." He told her simply. "If you want him back I'm really your only option, aren't I?" He said looking at her. "I can see how badly you yearn for him. I just want to ease your pain."

"Yeah, but easing my pain means I have to give you something in return. I know about you. In ten years, what happens? I lose my life and he has to suffer it again?" Brooklyn just shook her head at him, unsure of where she stood on the matter. She didn't want to sell him her soul.

"But for those ten years your life will be perfect. That I can promise you. It will be everything you ever wanted it to be. The picture you always had in your mind." Lucian told her. "Tell you what. I'll be nice seeing as you caught me on a good day. I'll double my usual offer and we'll say twenty years."

Brooke just stared at him. "I have my kids now, Lucian. What would they think if they knew that they had to lose their mom again in twenty years?" She paused and stared him down. "I know you get more for me." She knew that demons got more for angels, especially fallen ones.

"Thirty is my final offer." Lucian said to her. "That's a lifetime. That's more than you had the first time around. You can do so much in thirty years." He told her. "And you don't need to tell you children. Many people die before fifty two." He said.

"Not when you're an angel, you don't." Brooklyn looked at him. "People live longer now and they don't physically age. Don't you know that?" She didn't want him to leave because she hadn't made her mind up yet but she was worried that if he stayed, she would decide to do it and that worried her. Was it really worth getting him back?

"I know. But it's still more than what you had to start with. And isn't any time that you can have with your whole family worth it?" Lucian asked. "You haven't had a single day of it and I am offering you 10,950 days." He said putting it into perspective for her.
