When they got to the destroyed section of Cameo, she looked around. They were away from the asylum and right in front of the house. It took her a couple of seconds to regain her posture and once she did, she looked over the crumbling house. With her strength and her powers, she was sure that they could make a dent on the house, so long as they found the right equipment and materials. Brooklyn looked back at her children, a big smile on her face. "Before we get started, can we just sit down and talk? I think we need to learn more about each other before we can jump on in to building a house. We can get the trunk first if you would like to. Maybe I can explain some of whats in there."

"sure" Forrest nodded eagerly before going into the house Leaf sighed "excited" he simply said, following his sister "come on" he said softly, they walked up the stairs, forrest had dropped the bags into her room and shut the doors, then was jumping to catch the hook that hung from the attic opening, the string having been burnt off, she stomped her foot and grumbled as she couldnt reach it, hands on her hips as she glared at it "come down here" she snapped at it and the thing lowered.

Brooklyn enjoyed watching the ways that they worked together. They had definitely formed an alliance since their father died, or at least, that's what she kept imagining in her head. Maybe they had always been that way. She followed them up into the attic and went over to the trunk. Her fingers ran over it, softly tracing the letters that spelled out Ryder Alexander Vasic. A smile came to her face and tears threatened to fall again. "Oh Ryder..." Her voice was soft as she spoke, it was more of a whisper compared to anything else.
Slowly, her hands moved down to the lock that was on the trunk. She took the locket off from around her neck and hit a side button on it. Out came a little key from the inside of the button. Brooke unlocked the lock and looked back at Leaf and Forrest. "Are you guys sure?"

Forrest followed her up the steps to the attic and as the trunk popped open, she plonk onto the floor and sat "do it!" she squealed excitedly, Leaf rolled his eyes and sat next to his sister "lets do this" he said, putting his sisters hand in his, squeezing and giving brooke a smile.

Brooklyn glanced back at the two of them as they plopped down next to her. She scooted over to the side so that they could both see. She reached in and pulled out six smaller photos. They were all ultrasounds from when she was pregnant. Brooke ran her finger over it and smiled as she looked back at the two of them. "I knew I was pregnant with Forrest, I was seven months along when I died. However, Leaf, you... we didn't think we were having twins." She handed him the ultrasound photos first, letting him take a look at them.

"dad said i was a surprise... i was alot smaller then forrest was.. we stayed in hospital for 6 months i think" he looked at his sister who nodded eagerly, "yep yep yep" she chirped, getting to ehr knees and crawling to peek over the side of the trunk, she grinned at brooke as her brother studied the scans, his brow creasing, eyes glittering a little "if you look real careful you can see the shape of another head behind the first" he offered brooke the pictures to look herself

Brooke took back the photos that he was handing her and looked a little closer. She smiled softly, "yeah, I guess you can." She looked at Leaf. "I'd like to think that you came as a miracle for me not making it. You wouldn't really know how your dad took my death though, would you? You'd be too little." She shrugged and put the sonograms down next to her. Her hands moved things around in the trunk. There was a lot in there. Some of it was hers, and some of it was stuff his mother had passed down to the two of them when they had their engagement party. Brooke grabbed the padded envelope and pulled out some of the letters that were in it. "These were the letters your father and I wrote to one another while he was fighting in the war. Those were hard times. I never knew if he would make it back to me or not. He was selfless, your father, he always wanted to do the best by everyone."

Leaf smiled a little "yes we were young, you could contact gramma and ask her" he said softly "i think i still have her number in my room" he frowned "i'll check for you later" he looked at Forrest, "sis sit, you're making me nervous" Forrest shot him a glare and plonked back down huffing and folding ehr arms at him, he rolled his eyes "let me see "he took the letters and read them "anything for me in there?" forrest asked sweetly, her eyes hopeful as she felt left out

Brooklyn glanced over at her daughter and laughed. "Let me see." She looked back in the trunk and searched around. She found some wedding invitations, party invitations, baby shower invitations, pretty much any event they had gone through together. At first, it was mostly papers in the trunk. However, as she scavenged through it, she found a few things that made her heart beat a little faster. In the corner of the trunk was a photo book. One her mother had made for Ryder and Brooke for their engagement. "Would you like to see photos?" Brooke grabbed out the book and wiped the dust off of it as she handed the picture book to Forrest. There were nearly two-hundred photos in there. "My mother... your grandmother, made this for Ryder and I. It was the best gift I received for our engagement party."
Brooke searched a little more and found a small box. She opened it in the trunk before she brought it out. It was the bracelet that her mom had passed down from her grandma. Something she wasn't allowed to have until she turned 21 and had her own house. A big grin wrapped around her face and she quickly turned to Forrest. "If photos don't suit your interests, this will." Her fingers carefully took out the bracelet that was in the box. It was a 24karrat white gold with an inscription that read Per mia figlia, il mio amico e la mia vita. "It says 'for my daughter, my friend and my life. My grandma got this for my mom, and my mom passed it on to me...and I'd like to give it to you." There were five charms on the bracelet.

Forrest let out a squeal as she was handed the photo album, sitting on her butt again and flicking through the pages happily until Brooke held something shiny up, her eyes fixed onto it, staring widely "thats so pretty" she whispered softly looking at it, when Brooke said it was for her now she let out a squeal so loud it made her brother jump "really?" she squeaked out, she let the album down on her lap and clapped her hands like a child, her eyes bright before she held her wrist out, she noticed one that was there earlier and took it off "we can switch" she giggled holding it out to her mom, Leaf watched the whole thing, a smile on his face "i believe you" he whispered

Brooklyn watched as she flipped through the photos and stopped immediately as Brooke offered her something more interesting. She smiled when Forrest took off the bracelet from earlier. "Are you sure?" Brooke took the bracelet that Forrest had on earlier and set it down on her lap before she clipped the new one onto her daughters wrist. "It looks good on you. I only wore it for a couple years before I couldn't anymore. I'm glad he didn't bury it with me." She smiled at her before turning to Leaf. What he said had meant a lot to her. "Thank you, I'm glad." Brooke looked through the trunk and pulled out another box, this one was smaller. "This is Ryder's class ring, would you like it?"

Forrest squealed in delight, rolling onto her back kind of like a cat and examining the bracelet she recieved, happily babbling away to herself. Leaf took the box and opened it slowly "are you sure?" she asked her, he lifted the ring carefully and looked at it, he gently ran his fingers over the top of it a small smile coming to his lips, Forrest rolled onto her side, saw the ring and the look on Leafs face and instantly sobered, she edged over to Brooke and whispered so only she could hear "he doesn't show his emotions often" she watched her brother get tears in his eyes "he stays strong for me" she managed a sad smile before looking back at the trunk "anything else in there?" she asked grinning cheekily

Brooklyn watched the two of them, Forrest was overly happy, and Leaf looked as if someone had smacked him with reality. The tears in his eyes made Brooke feel sad. She nodded to what Forrest had said and kept her eyes trained on Leaf. "He'd want you to have it, sweetie. Your dad was a great guy. I don't think, in the time that I was here, that I ever saw him wrong someone." The thought made her hurt a little but she kept her emotions hidden as well. It was definitely something Leaf got from her. She turned her attention away from them and looked back in the trunk. "Mostly just drawings I've done, things your father collected and stuff his mom passed down to him." Brooke grabbed out her drawings and displayed them in front of Forrest and Leaf.

Forrest eagerly looked at all the pictures brooke had done, eyes happy and excited, Leaf slipped the ring onto his finger and put teh box into his pocket so he wouldnt loose the ring when he took ti off "thanks" he murmured softly with a smile, he picked a picture up and looked at it "these are really good, i know dad used to say you were good at drawing" Forrest cut in "daddy always said mama would of decorated our rooms didnt she leaf?" she babbled on about something or other before going silent, her eyes trained on something in the corner that wasnt there, Leaf raised an eyebrow "and she goes to lala land"

Brooke watched the twins together, it was almost like a show and that made her laugh. She stopped after a few seconds and looked at Leaf. "That's okay, la la land is sometimes better than reality. Especially if you can't have a full family." She looked at all of her drawings and then at Forrest. "Of course I would have. We had everything all planned out for your room. We had all of the things we needed for you... our families were good to us that way. The nursery was beautiful. I started to paint it as soon as I found out what gender you were, that way I could get it all in before I wasn't allowed around paint anymore. I got most of it done... but the other half had to wait until you were born. I just... I never got there."
